5.1 Firewalls and Intrusion Detection Systems

Firewalls and Intrusion Detection Systems (IDS) are fundamental parts of our network infrastructure. Firewalls control the traffic between trusted and untrusted networks, allowing only authorized traffic to pass based on defined security rules. They are installed at all network perimeters and are configured to reject unauthorized access attempts.

Our IDS identifies patterns of traffic or application data presumed to be signs of unauthorized activity. Alerts from IDS are reviewed by our Information Security Team, who determines the appropriate response.

Regular firewall and IDS ruleset reviews and updates are carried out to ensure security measures remain effective and relevant. Moreover, we also implement Intrusion Prevention Systems (IPS) that not only detect potential security breaches but also take action to mitigate the threat.
